সকলি ফুরাল, স্বপনপ্রায়,
কোথা সে লুকাল, কোথা সে হায়!
কুসুমকানন হয়েছে ম্লান,
পাখীরা কেন রে গাহে না গান,
ও! সব হেরি শূন্যময়,
কোথা সে হায়!
কাহার তরে আর ফুটিবে ফুল,
মাধবী মালতী কেঁদে আকুল,
সেই যে আসিত তুলিতে জল,
সেই যে আসিত পাড়িতে ফল,
ও! সে আর আসিবে না,
কোথা সে হায়!
Translation
All has come to an end like a fading nightmare.
Where did she hide, alas where!
The flowers of garden turned pale,
The songs of birds now fade.
The stole all, left a cipher;
She's alas, where!
For whom shall now the buds flower
Madhabi-Malati wail in deep despair.
To draw water now who shall come?
To pluck fruits now who shall come?
Oh! She'll come never!
