Lazarus di rilis pada 17 Desember 2015. merupakan single andalan David Bowie di album studionya yang ke-25 'Blackstar' yang rilis pada 8 Januari 2016. Lazarus sendiri lagu yang bernuansa menakutkan dan penuh misteri. Dalam video klip lagu tersebut menampilkan David Bowie yang tengah berhadapan dengan kematian. Baru sepakan Ia merilis single tersebut, kabar duka datang dari penyanyi tersebut. Ia benar-benar meninggal setelah 18 bulan berjuang melawan kanker. Lagu itupun seakan menjadi pesan terakhir kepada para penggemarnya.
Seminggu setelah ia meninggal Lazarus berhasil menembus ke posisi 40 Billboard Hot 100.
